A digital magazine made for Kamloops, by Far and Wide.
At Far and Wide, we love curating beautiful things—whether it’s the perfect gift for your best friend, a soak for a relaxing bath, or a lush plant for your new home. We wanted to take it a step further though and create something that brings all of this (and more!) together in one place.
So we created Small Talk, our very own digital magazine, designed to inspire, connect, and celebrate everything we love about Kamloops. Published quarterly, each edition is packed with fresh finds, seasonal inspiration, local events, and spotlights on small businesses that make our community shine. And, because we can’t resist a little holiday magic, we also release a special Gift Guide Edition during the festive season to help you discover the most thoughtful presents for everyone on your list.

Every issue is crafted with heart by Far and Wide’s Marketing Lead, Madison Allen, in collaboration with Owner, Calli Duncan. Inspiration is taken from art, travel, and the changing seasons to bring something fresh and exciting to each edition.

We love a good theme, and we’ve had so much fun dreaming up past editions of Small Talk! Some of our favourites include:
Spring 2024
This Bridgerton-inspired issue is full of romance, florals, and regency-core elegance. It walks through everything you need to host your own garden party including a sample menu! Find more interesting articles including how to build a beautiful bouquet and tips to refresh your home.
Summer 2024
Our summer edition was designed to help transport readers to sun-drenched coastlines and enjoy leisurely long lunches. It explores themes of bringing the European lifestyle to your everyday life and touches on simple makeup, colourful clothes, Italian recipes, and a summer bucket list.
Fall 2024
A cozy and moody fall issue that was inspired by Canadian artist, Janet Hill, featuring her signature Victorian-style aesthetic and art. Her paintings tell a story which inspired us to create this magazine with articles on costume ideas, decorating for the season, and cocktail recipes. Listen to both the fall and halloween playlists the next time you need a change of music.
